Dawn Dawson Jones

Burlington, NC:    Dawn Dawson Jones, 56, of Burlington, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 3rd, 2023 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Dawn was born on March 7, 1967 in Anne Arundel, Maryland.  She lived life to the fullest and she enjoyed spending her time with her husband, family and friends.  She loved her family and friends, including her two dogs, Rooster and Hank very much. She enjoyed going to Antique Stores as well as thrift shops, she also loved to take car rides to the country to find new little restaurants and old stores. Dawn had a very unique personality and those that knew her loved her.  She will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Dawn is survived by her mother, Marlene Dawson, her husband of 13 years, Terry Jones, two children, Jeffery Padgett and wife Amanda of Crownsville, MD, daughter, Autumn Fields of Burlington, NC, stepdaughter Brittany Fowler and husband, Johnney of Hazlehurst, GA, brother Charles Boyer and wife Sherri of MD, brother Howard Dawson, Jr. of MD and granddaughter Olivia Padgett whom she loved very much. Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Howard Dawson.

There will be a visitation with the family on Thursday, September 7th, 2023 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church at 230 Williamson St., Burlington, NC 27215. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Carolyn H. Burrus officiating.  Flowers can be delivered to Calvary Baptist Church on Thursday morning before the visitation and service.
